This Privacy Policy describes how the operator of VidEraser (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Google Play Android version of VidEraser, an AI-assisted tool for removing watermarks and overlays from videos and photos.

Please read this Policy carefully. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. Where the law requires consent for a specific processing activity, we will ask for it separately (for example, notifications or analytics).

1. Who we are & how to contact us

Controller / operator contact for privacy requests: szsoftwell2026@gmail.com, or use in-app Feedback. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

2. Information we collect

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking for advertising, and this Google Play build does not show third-party ads. We do not collect precise GPS location.

3. Why we process data (purposes & legal bases)

Depending on your region, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract (providing the service you request), consent (where required), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement that does not override your rights), and legal obligations.

4. Retention & how we handle your media

Note: Separately from your media files, if you consent in the App we may collect limited app-usage analytics (for example via Firebase Analytics: screens, crashes, feature usage). Those events do not include the binary content of your videos/photos.

5. Sharing & processors

We share personal information only as needed with:

6. International transfers (important)

Our service infrastructure is primarily located in mainland China. If you use the App from outside mainland China, your personal information (including uploaded media and account data) will be transferred to and processed in mainland China for the purposes in this Policy.

What happens to media after transfer:

Where required (for example under the GDPR), we take appropriate measures such as contractual safeguards. You may contact us for more information about transfers that apply to you.

7. Android permissions

You can revoke permissions in system settings; some features may stop working.

8. Your rights

Subject to your local law (including GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PIPL, APPI, and others), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export/port, restrict, or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents: we do not sell personal information and do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the CPRA. To exercise rights, email szsoftwell2026@gmail.com.

Account deletion: you can delete your account in the App (typically under Me / Profile → Delete account). This is separate from uninstalling the App.

9. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age of digital consent in your country, such as 14 or 16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data without proper consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Security & updates

We use HTTPS and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We may update this Policy; for material changes we will provide notice in the App and, where required by law, obtain fresh consent.
